Tofino Coho
Duncan Lake
To Fi No
Beautiful salmon to end the day, however, a distant 8th from 8 in the daily quota by any quantitative comparison.
Note the bright silver coloration that typifies the juvenile salmon, while the lesser girth suggests malnutrition.
For respect to others i cropped them from the tiny Rainbow Trout shot when I zoomed in to try and ID the fish. This resulted in cutting the tail off, regardless 12" would be a stretch. In the ocean we would have put it on a bigger hook and sent it back, on Slocan Lake I will admit that's a decent meal.
Toba Island
The dock at Toba Island has a couple lights underneath, awesome to watch Herring moving in big schools while being chased by salmon of all sizes who in turn are being chased by seals.

Four Generations of Warriors Ready to Battle Creatures of the Deep - on Lake Minnetonka
Muskellunge, the fish of 1000 casts goes free, a couple inches to small to keep, the cousins to the left, Northern Pike, are delicious if you know how to work around the bones.

Valhalla Provincial Park
Drinnon Lake in the Valhalla range is stocked with trout, and packed with trophy sized monsters. The view is also nice.
The Columbia River
You know when you are in the same boat with the same gear and the other guy gets all the fish?
Thanks Colin, you are the first and last person i have seen take fish out of one of the finest rainbow trout fisheries in the world, now i know they are there.
